Supporting the victims !
Within its limitations, SAVE has been trying to provide supports / assistance to the victims of ragging -
SAVE Legal Desk provides free legal advice / guidance to victims.
SAVE RTI Desk provides free assistance for seeking help by using the Right to information (RTI) act.
Often SAVE communicates with the concerned institution (and other relevant authorities) for implementing Anti Ragging measures (and for protecting freshers), when we receive a distress message from 'victims'.
SAVE tries to provide its maximum possible help to victims.

Prevention is better
SAVE has been conducting events like interactive sessions and competitions (e.g., debate, poster designing) within campuses to motivate the students, staff and others to get united against ragging.
Some noted professional (e.g, psychiatrists, psychologists) have been extending their helps and have interacted with students and others in events organized by SAVE.
SAVE has also been alerting senior students and possible consequences of ragging - the risks to the victims as well as to the perpetrators - in efforts to deter them from ragging their juniors.
SAVE has been providing IEC materials, also to
thousands of freshers, at the very hour of
counseling to make them aware of the available
recourses (if they face ragging) - including
helpline numbers.

Queries from them / their guardians get addressed by trained volunteers from SAVE. Such events have also received wide publicity in many Bengali news channels.
SAVE has also been working to spread the awareness among the general public, esp. among those related to education and among parents / guardians through various events (e.g., seminars, signature campaigns).
In such exercises SAVE has been inviting people from various fields to its campaigns. SAVE is proud to have been able to involve Principals, Vice Chancellor / Pro-Vice Chancellors and many other academicians in its campaigns to create "Ragging-free" campuses.
