"Mind Without Fear"

Where the mind is without fear and the head is held high;

Where knowledge is free;

Where the world has not been broken up into fragments by narrow domestic walls;

Where words come out from the depth of truth;

Where tireless striving stretches its arms towards perfection;

Where the clear stream of reason has not lost its way into the dreary desert sand of dead habit;

Where the mind is led forward by thee into ever-widening thought and action---

Into that heaven of freedom, my Father, let my country awake.

- from Rabindraath Tagore’s “Geetanjali

(“Song Offerings” – Winner of the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1913)

About Us

During its long presence, ragging has ruined countless of innocent lives and careers. Society Against Violence in Education (SAVE) is a non-profit organization dedicated to facilitate the eradication of ragging. SAVE was conceptualized and was set-up by some young professionals and students from diverse academic fields (viz. medicine, engineering and IT, law, film, media and journalism, architecture, management etc.).
These youths, who met only at online forums against ragging, joined hands to form what is possibly the first registered Anti-Ragging NGO in India...

Born in Kolkata, currently SAVE has its presence in Delhi, Bangalore and Mumbai. It is trying to spread to several other cities at the earliest. We encourage every conscientious individual to join us and to strengthen the Anti-Ragging Movement in her / his area.

Let's make a Ragging-free India!
