Frequently Asked Questions regarding Donations

Most of the persons who land upon the donations page of any Non-Profit Organization have these silent questions in their minds:
1)  Am I really big to donate?

2) Would my little contribution make any significant change?

3) If I donate would these people really use my money to help, or in their refreshments?

4) How will my money be used?

5) Won’t I be the subject of fun by others for donating; after all, donating is not an in-thing!

6) It must take a lot of time in this process, isn’t it!

We are a proud recipient of the GuideStar India Transparency Key, 2017.

1) Am I really big to donate?
2) Would my little contribution make any significant change?

The fact that you have come to this page means that you feel for the pain the student suffer with due to ragging.
And it is the decision of the people-with-a-heart like you to donate that we carry our movement forward: No donation is small, and no person is small to donate!

Even a donation of Rs. 100 can add up to make a big impact

  • A Rs. 500 donation helps us to file RTIs or to write to even more colleges.
  • A Rs. 5000 donation helps us to visit different cities to run Anti-Ragging campaigns and seminars, or to maintain our website.
  • And a Rs. 50,000 donation helps us in getting a staff-help in our endeavors, to multiply our impact.

3) If I donate would these people really use my money to help, or in their refreshments?
4) How will my money be used?

SAVE is run mainly by voluntary efforts (and by voluntary contributions).
However, we need money to arrange awareness programs at colleges / universities. We need money to print posters, banners, leaflets, etc.
We also need funds to file RTI applications or to provide supports to victims. Money is required even to run our website.

Your money will be used to support the activities of the organization - in the initiative to create a 'ragging-free' healthy environment, where students can learn with fun and not with fear.

5) Won’t I be the subject of fun by others for donating; after all, donating is not an in-thing!

Yes, most people around you do not donate. And they do not become part of the solution.

But should it impact you in making your small contribution, the one who wants to see the world change?

The people who run this organization have been its key donors as well!

Our donors include our employee/consultant, who got inspired by the cause and by the selfless efforts by the people in this organization.

We feel very happy to share that someone who came to us as a victim, later joined us and became an activist. Now, after passing out, he has joined the list of donors, as well. :)

Those make us proud and the family keeps growing. Together, we can!

6) It must take a lot of time in this process, isn’t it!

It takes just 3 minutes to donate online, and 30 minutes to send us a cheque.
